The Moira Hat, obligingly modeled by William Shakesbear.
I spent last week knitting up models for three more forthcoming hat patterns: the Cable Triplets hat, the Moira and the Deirdre. As you can see, I am giving my hats Irish names and a slouch profile. While I wait for nicer weather, the look of spring (Connecticut in March is still all bare trees and dead grass), and a human model, here they are on William Shakesbear. The Cable Triplets is made in Cascade 220 Sport yarn, color Ruby. The Moira and Deirdre hats are in The Yarn Collective’s Bloomsbury DK, colors Violet and Surf, respectively.

The color of the Cable Triplets Hat is a close match for Shakesbear

I also picked up some yarn last week which is destined to become a couple of my knitted dinosaurs. This is the Craigh Na Dun gradient set from A Hundred Ravens yarn. I couldn’t find this particular set of colors on their website (alas), but they have some other lovely colorways and they win big points from me for their fandom naming (Captain Jack Harkness, Leia Organa Solo, Mockingjay, Rivendell and Tyrion among others).
