WIP: Yah, I got nothin’

Lovely new headshot by Moses Farrow. Thanks, Moses

Ok, nothing is not exactly accurate. I’ve spent the last week making swatches in various yarns for the project I talked about last week. Since it’s a submission to a third-party for possible inclusion in a collection, I don’t feel that I can put photos of it online yet.

I’ve also done a whole lot of what-if math figuring out the yardage I would need for the project. In the various yarns. At different finished sizes. With different numbers of colors included in the scarf/shawl/cowl/whatever-it-turns-out-to-be. Scribblings about square inches and yards per gram of knitted yarn don’t make for the most exciting of photographs. Plus there was minor amounts of algebra (well, solve for x) involved.

It will be up here eventually. Next spring if they select it, earlier if they don’t and I decide to publish it independently.

In the meantime, here’s my new headshot by Moses Farrow of Visual Communication Solutions in Connecticut. Moses managed to get a picture that looks like me and that I like, which is no mean feat in the art of taking headshots. Plus he was fun to talk to as we worked. I highly recommend him if you are looking for headshot or brand photography in the Greater Hartford area.
