WIP: Knitting While Sick

Both pairs of Canada Socks are now finished and ready for winter wearing.

I’ve been fighting off a nasty cold for the last two weeks, which is why we’ve been absent of blog posts, but here’s what I’ve managed to knit during that time.

Whisper Lace Socks by Rachel Hawksley, pattern available on ravelry

I knit the second sock of Canada Socks pair number 2.

Cowl and headband in King Cole Bamboozle yarn, colorway Denim.

The day before I got sick, I picked up a skein of King Cole Bamboozle yarn at my local Little Yarn Shop, Knitting Criations in Somers, CT. I made it into a wider cowl first, but I didn’t like the way that looked, so I ripped it out and wound up with a narrower cowl and a headband. It’s a fun yarn and knits up quickly on U.S. size 10 (6.0 mm) needles.

We are Santa’s Jurassic Elves.

And last night I made Rexy a tiny orange and white Santa hat so he could be a Jurassic Home Depot elf.
